As many folks are well aware, were are entering that time of year when many are hunting down that perfect gift for friends and loved ones. You can sit back and rest easy, because here at The Bar we've done the work for you! We'll be posting new ideas every day up until Christmas for our fellow hedonists. To kick off December we have chosen to go with the Advent calendar. These calendars will certainly be used to count down the days to Christmas, but they won't be your typical stale chocolates in ripped wrappers. These calendars are sold by Master of Malt and come in four styles.
For Gin Lovers
You have your choice between the Ginvent Calendar and the Craft Ginvent Calendar. The first option include major market brands, artisanal, hard to find, and some new brands on the market. The craft calendar has only the finest artisanal samples from around the world.
For Whisky Connoisseurs
Whisky enthusiasts will also find an option pleasing to their palate. There is the classic Whisky Advent Calendar and the Premium Whisky Advent Calendar. The classic calendar contains a variety of whisky options from single malt to bourbon. The premium calendar has contents that come from exotic locales and top distilleries in the world.
If you follow the link to each calendar you can preview the contents, except the Premium Whisky Advent Calendar. The premium calendar will have variation based upon the single casks that are available so for now, no preview list is given. The price points for the calendars vary from a low of $163.58 to $409.08. We love the idea of booze filled advent calendars so we are currently experimenting with our own version. We're gathering up a couple dozen of those little airplane bottles and putting numbered Post-It notes on them.
